#20, amen. I think I like the term "truck" for most of my favorites. I like stuff you'd see in Four Wheeler magazine. Oh, and Suzuki fucked up big time for removing the low range mode on the XL7, making it a AWD 'soft roader'. >_<

I do like seeing pics of Escalades and Navigators going offroad though.

I never understood the concept of SUVs. The idea was to make a pimped out version of a 4x4 to fill the need for an universal car (all universal things suck btw) that could be taken off road and would be comfy and easy to drive at the same time. Result: big, heavy pile that cannot go off-road and drives like a truck. And if you kick it, it will collapse on you.

I think everyone should own a vehicle that can simultaneously plow through any smaller vehicles on the road and flip over and explode at the drop of a hat. God Bless SUV's!

#27, I find SUV's funny for the same reason. They crush everything that's smaller than they are but when they meet some kind of an un-movable obstacle they just disintegrate. And the potential for self-destruction (handling, brakes, etc.) is simply amazing.

#29, yes. You ever seen crash tests for a Ford Expedition? Quite scary actually.

I think most larger SUV's are pointless vehicles, sure they're comfortable and whatever but when it comes right down to it you're better off buying a minivan (that's right, a minivan) or a CJ jeep. My old man's Caravan gets good mileage and it's comfy as hell, call me a softy but I like it. And SUV's these days mostly offer the illusion of off-road capability anyways.
