Description:
A Cadillac 500 V8 and the unique TH425 transmission that enables the engine to function as a FWD powerplant even though it's not transversely mounted in the car. THey were used in Cadillac Eldorados and Devilles in the early to mid 70's This is the "guts" we're after for our next hotrod build, as you can see, the compactness of the unit means you can squeeze it into lots of things..... |

#2, Oh, it's not going to be an aerostar, for this to work, we need a FWD minivan,.... we're considering a 97' or earlier Lumina APV/Shilouette/Trans Sport as the chassis |

#5, Yes, but not the same engine, they had a high-400 somthing, the 500 was strictly a caddy motor |

I forgot to mention. If you ever find one of those old GMC Motorhomes from the early 70's - you could nick the transmission from them too.
The thing is that quite a few of those ugly things are still running. |

Bah, the TH425 was never used in the DeVille:p The Toronado used the 425 then the 455 engines.
Cadillac had the 472/500.
