history lesson??? i don't think clarifing which engine a car has is a history lesson....oh well. Porsche is making its own super car. The carrera GT. Almost, every company owned by VW is getting a super car, Lambo, Bugatti, Porsche, Audi, and VW. If you wanna see a fugly assed car....go check out the audi concept super car. I like the gunmetal color on the wheels actually.
here is a good link if you are interested:

yeah, audi is the ugliest car i have seen in a long time. It is way worse then the aztec even. I hope if they make it...they get their respective heads out of each other's asses and redesign the body...holy crap, batman. It looks like a the bastard love child of the bugatti super car (it has the same radiator and other lines) and the audi TT..with some kind of weird grating on the back ...I have no idea you could make a car this fugly.

They should have put an audi badge on this thing and left that audi concept car on the drawing board. |

I still think anyone would be crazy to pay 80 grand for anything with a VW symbol. I dont care if it has 600 horse. |

A lot of you people need to get your brains out of the 60's and 70's, geesh. If you pay any attentioon to the car market in the past few years you will know that VW has been making some of the most innovative performance engines and coupling that with their reputation for reliability. The Jetta VR6's, the 270 hp GTi "pocket rockets", and even the new VR5 Turbo Beetles can kick any rice's butt. They also own Lamborghini and developed the Porcshe...and you say VW's are slow? |

Damn, who cares what name's on a car? If it brings 600 horses and styling like this for $80 large, I'm on board. Actually, no, since I'm saving my $80 grand for a GT40. But yeah, this still kicks some serious ass. As for the VW vs. Saleen conflict: the fact that it has turbos does not make it more powerful or better. Turbocharged horsepower are still the same as naturally aspirated horsepower. This makes 50 more horses than a Saleen out of four more cylinders and two turbochargers. Not something to brag about, fellas. And if I know Stevie S., the S7 will get a power upgrade the instant this hits the market. And as for the Audi concept car: it's supposed to be kind of retro, with strong styling cues to the 1930s Auto Union Grand Prix cars. The lesson we learn here: Ford knows how to do retro (GT40, Forty-Nine, etc.) Audi is clueless in this department. |

personally, I think a lot of the new "retro" cars are ugly as hell. the 49's one of those, but the Gt40 is good, as is the charger. |

Mad Max: This car is not turbocharged. It is (for the last time) a 12cyl, W shape, Naturally Aspirated, 6 Liter, 600HP motor. It is one of the most powerful and efficent 6 Liter engines in the world. The car also weighs a scant 2600lbs. It a bad mutha-fuka. Too bad it is probably gonna cost upwards of $200k though. The $80k is probably a pipe dream. The prototype has broken all kinds of records. It just broke another.
