I would drive a Beretta in good condition. It's just a shame that the road conditions in Michigan have left so many of them covered in rust. It's also hard to find one without a million miles on the odometer or one that some yutz tried to hot rod.

#2, Man, if I had a dime for every APC branded add-on stuck to some beater Civic, Cav, or Focus I'd be rich. And I find it bloody irritating to not be able to find a low priced economy car that hasn't been mucked up by some pea-brain with drag racing aspirations. Between all the cut springs, dents, bald tires, loose fitting/drilled-into body panels, messed up wiring, and metal shavings in oil pans from hug burnouts, it's nearly impossible.

#4, Well I was thinking about selling the Chrysler for a while and getting something smaller, but I really couldn't part with my nice big RWD V8 car however sluggish it may be.
#5, I'll bet you saw a few dozen on the main drag during the summer days

#8, It's back in storage (i.e. Uncle's Garage) until the weather lightens up. It was supposed to be done a while ago but lack of money/time has left it in a seemingly perpetual state of disrepair. Also, the Chrysler's been costing me alot of greenbacks. I know I said I was going to sell my Burban but then I came to the realization that I'd be losing about $500-$1000 from the original price if I sold it as is. And since my employment's become-ahem...sparse, I'd probably piss the money I did make away on gas and other things. So I'm stuck with the big green fucker for right now.

#10, I'm not gonna sell the Chrysler, it runs and drives fine and I honestly don't have the money or patience to try trading up to a more effiecient car. The way I figure it, I spent about $3000-3200 on it since I bought it (including repairs, original price, general maintenance, excluding gas). And that price is over the course of what, 3 years? And say I financed a newer car that cost about $12,000, the payments alone over the course of three years would be nearly double what I've spent on the Chrysler, not including repairs or insurance. And even if it was more effiecient it wouldn't matter in the log run. And the same principal would apply even if my new car cost only $6000. So if it ain't broke I ain't gonna fix it

Strange, really, how for years European cars had to have sealed-beam headlights converted for the American market, yet with this car for some reason it was the other way around.

#15, I think America intentionally had vastly different headlight-beam requirements from Europe... intending to force import automakers to spend money redesigning their headlights to meet USDM requirements... they have to spend more money, domestics can undercut them in costs... I don't think it worked, since import automakers simply crammed simple square headlight units into the space of their sealed-beam dealies...
...and, obviously, it worked the other way... instead of re-engineering their sealed-beam headlights to match European requirements, Chevy simply stole the "cram squares in there" idea from the European and Japanese automakers...
I still feel that all of this windshield, lighting, safety, emissions requirement differences between USA and the rest of the world are idiotic... they're ill-planned attempts to give domestic automakers an advantage in the USDM, but it ends up making the USDM the stupidest, most governmentally-restricted car market in the world... free country, huh?

...don't get me started on America having the absolutely most restrictive diesel-engine requirements for non-commercial passenger vehicles... pretty much killing the easiest way for automakers to meet the upcoming higher CAFE requirements... forcing them to invest in tons of battery-hybrids which result in heavy, expensive, horribly boring vehicles that are tedious to drive... not to mention the manufacture of the batteries which is still incredibly toxic, and still many unanswered questions as to what will happen with those toxic batteries when they wear out...
Europe has tons of interesting, fun-to-drive diesel vehicles, that get fantastic mileage... I get the impression that Europeans kinda laugh at most hybrids, considering diesel hatchbacks can get as good mileage, if not better, and are much more practical, cheaper, and more fun to drive.

#18, as Pelosi said once. "The batteries are no problem. They make cars efficient". Her response on how to make cars more fuel efficient. My local U-Pull-It can't accept any hybrids because of the batteries themselves. So, all the wrecked Prius' in my state get sent to the crusher apparently.
I'm just pissed at the current administration for excusing GM of meeting all requirements. Hell, they refused to open an investigation into C/K truck fires, and apparently they're trying to hide the fact that the Vibe breifly had the floormat issue.
