Description:
Since I've made it a habit to destroy DiRF's cars as soon as he gets them by dropping something on top of them, I've decided to do the same to his Infinti using George Carlin.

I've drank (gotten fit-shaced twice... never passed out or puked)
I've smoked cigarettes a few times... I made a rule for myself, the only time I'll smoke is when I can bum a cigarette off another person, and the smokers I've known are very non-generous, so I just don't smoke :P
I even took some pills that to this day I have no idea what they were... they fucked me up for an entire week. Work was incredibly fun that week for some reason.

I've never smoked pot though, even though quite a few of my friend in high school smoked it, and my siblings dabbled in it too... so I had plenty of opportunity... just never tried it.

BUT, I am all for the legalization of pot... or at least, the decriminalization of it. God, we have such an overcrowding problem in our prisons, and the percentage that are in there for non-violent marijuana offenses, GEEZE... ...and anyone that can prove to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that pot is worse for our soceity than alcohol, please, I'm all ears.

I think everyone should take the drug course that I just took this past semester... learning about the history of anti-drug litigation and government propaganda tactics...

No major drug law has ever been passed based on research or logic. NONE. Most drug laws passed in the 1800's and early 1900's were based on racism and bigotry. The Chinamen smoke Opium? OUTLAW IT! The former slaves and the immigrant Mexicans smoke marijuana? OUTLAW IT! It really is disgraceful.

I love all the bizarre anti-(substance) shit we have at work (rehab).
This is a personal favorite from the St. Louis office. http://fireteamnerd.com/images/11-06-06_1232.jpg

#19, My aunt actually met Carlin (or so she claims) back in the seventies when he was still an up and coming comic. She said he saw them hanging out around the building and invited them backstage for a toke.

#23, That and the fact that it's grown in mostly South American countries and Latin America making money on a plentiful natural resource is against our best interests.

#30, Indeed... if America were allowed to create a legal narcotic drug industry, that would be such an economic boon.

#31, but that won't ever happen 'cause you can't patent a plant.

#32, But if people were able to grow them here, Americans would be getting the money and would keep it in our economy... you can't patent alcohol either, and yet we still get tons of economic benefit and taxes from the production of it... yes, there is a problem with people independently making alcohol, just like there would be a problem with people independently making their own narcotics... but I'm sure if it were regulated, people would be willing to pay just a little more to get the "guaranteed" stuff... and hell, if it were able to be made legally, even the official stuff would be TONS cheaper than the current stuff on the market now.

#33, The reason it's not legal are numerous and complicated, but IMO it comes down to this: Brown people shouldn't be making money, homeopathic drugs are against the interest of drug companies, the government doesn't want people thinking beyond themselves and their immediate needs.... I could go on but I really don't want to, I know many will disagree and that's fine, I'm not interested in an argument.

#34, I have no idea if you're for or against legalizing drugs... all the points you bring up aren't agains the drugs themselves, but against how idiotic our society is as a whole.

#35, Exactly.

Well, I'm for legalizing marijuana and some psychedelics, for sure. I don't think things as destructive as heroin and crack have a place in society.

To Quote Nino Brown from New Jack City:

" I'm not guilty. *You're* the one that's guilty. The lawmakers, the politicians, the Columbian drug lords, all you who lobby against making drugs legal. Just like you did with alcohol during the prohibition. You're the one who's guilty. I mean, c'mon, let's kick the ballistics here: Ain't no Uzi's made in Harlem. Not one of us in here owns a poppy field. This thing is bigger than Nino Brown. This is big business. This is the American way. "
