Here's my 6K.

Don't have any of the BMW's or the Dodge or of the old Acura or Datsun. Only have ones of the Jeep.

#8, Those dashboards are all too familiar too me.

Also, I must remember to get some shots of the Burban interior before too long, the list of options from 1972 is still adhered inside the glovebox.

#7, Is your Panasonic head unit reliable ? Do you like it ? I want to buy one, my Alpine is dying (fucking unreliable, but boy do I love the sound).

#10, a Panasonic will never sound as good as an Alpine, unless it was called Technics, and they don't sell car stereo equipment. I like Kenwood, in my experience they sound damn near as good as Alpines and are more reliable too.

#11, Really ? I'm taking notes then.. I've had a Clarion and now this Alpine and both were unreliable but damn crystal clear sound. The only other thing that annoyed me was the absence on an eq on both. Now a Kenwood.. I tought about it but they're kinda expensive. I hate Pioneer, I really do, and I heard some shit about Blaupunkt. Now I bought my gf a decent JVC head unit over 2 years ago and still works perfect, even if she spills coffee/soda/water all over it often. And the sound isn't too bad.. I just want a decent, temporary replacement for my Alpine until I get more money to buy a really good one.

#12, Yeah, I had a Clarion too, and I found it to be great sounding but prone to overheating, which is just stupid today. JVCs do sound better than Sonys and Pioneers, but they still aren't in the same league as Alpine and Kenwood. Check out Crutchfield.com, they do offer a few lower-priced Kennies.

I had one of Kenwood's cheaper head units in my Thunderturd, and I was happy with the overall quality.

Of course, the only interior alterations to my current car are an aftermarket shifter and a reset switch for my wideband O2 sensor. I'm not going to bother doing anything to the stereo--any more "improvements" to the interior would probably involve removing stuff.

#13, I want to pay a top price of 200$ CAD.. I tell you again, it's just a temporary replacement, but it must include :

-MP3 playability
-Round volume controller (heh..)
-SUB outputs
-Decent sound quality

I'm running it through an MTX 200w amp and a Phoenix Gold 10" sub.

#15, First one at the top of this page: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-qzSQnd...l*_kBgLvjtwzp*j

Crutchfield is great, they ship super fast and they'll send you a color coded harness and mounting kit with instructions made just for your car... makes for super easy installation. No cutting, splicing or soldering.

wait, that one is too expensive.

#16, "I want to pay a top price of 200$ CAD.. I tell you again, it's just a temporary replacement"

I can't afford a 350$US head unit, at least for now.. I just want a reliable, simple, MP3 supportable and decent sounding unit just so I can listen to my CDs. :/

Btw, that's the one I got right now : http://www.stro.co.kr/community/img...147154182_1.jpg
