Description: Wangan Midnight. The Anime series just started airing last week, but the manga it's based on started back in 1992 (and is still running, IIRC). The Anime is produced by many of the same people that make the Initial D anime... and this has a very similar feel. But rather than touge racing, it's high-speed freeway racing. With a bit of "Christine" thrown in for measure.

Now that's progress... eps 5 and 6 are now out from HG-F. Though, eps 7 and 8 may be a few weeks off... I think HG-F only wants to make the fansubs out of DVD-quality raws, and those won't be out until, obviously, the DVD of eps 7 and 8 comes out, which should be later this month, IIRC.

#82, I can't find eps 3 and 4 on Youtube, and that's about the only way I can watch the show. I don't know anything at all about torrents.

Download and install BitComet. Go to Isohunt.com, look up "Wangan Midnight"... it'll give you a link to the torrent file, and just open the torrent file WITH BitComet, then you just start downloading the file... it might take a while, but you'll have the actual video file, rather than a low quality flashvideo. If you're on DSL, or some other kind of connection that has shitty upload speed, you might want to mess around with the options on BitComet to lower the global max upload rate, or else your download speed will be choked. [edit] Or you could try WMExpressway.net's forums... there's a guy named mcfly that uploads the videos to his personal server for direct download. (WMExpressway.net's official direct downloads suck... they always cut off near halfway through) [Edited by DiRF on 11-13-2007 @ 08:44:54 AM]

I've been hesitant to download the show....240 MB at a time can really eat up hard drive space. Since now, I've discovered crunchyroll.com, and I've managed to watch all six of the current episodes, plus they have what appears to be every complete Stage of Initial D. I'm six episodes into the first stage now.

Ep 10 has been fansubbed, it's up for direct download on the wmexpressway forums. Quite an excellent episode this time around, IMO. Some real good racing sequences.

Excellent, I've been eagerly awaiting the next one. I've gotten caught up in an anime called Monster lately that's pretty damn good. It's sort of a psychological thriller, which is a genre not often seen in animation.

finally got hooked on this. watched 1-7 in the past 2 days. wow. this must be what women go through during soap operas. its good dramatic writing for car guys. although the episode with the flashback / preggo lady was confusing.
