Just a severe dislike for the resurgence of dead muscle car names on cars that otherwise bore me.
If theyd just have called this a Magnum, Id like it that much more.

The Charger sorely needs to be a coupe, but I will say that being a sedan has made it a much cooler alternative to your standard "family car". But then again the 300C was already a pretty cool alternative to your standard family car. Bah, I don't know...
#4, It was either that or call it the Polara.

Dodge Charger Daytona. It's just like the Dodge Charger R/T, but with graphics and crazy colors. In that sense, it's just like the Dodge Charger Super Bee, but the graphics are a little different.
If Chrysler keeps doing special editions of these cars, they could at least have the presence of mind to change something other than the cosmetics. The Super Bee, in particular, should be a stripped-down, lightweight version of the Charger. |

Well, the Charger was never really supposed to be the flagship sports/muscle car for Chrysler, it was mostly supposed to replace the ailing Inteprid. I mean sure the LX platform was derived from the Mercedes E-Class and sure they're available with Hemi engines that put out crazy amounts of horsepower but it's basic architecture appeals more to families and nameplate throwback fans. It was never really meant to be the car to shut up the Mustang fanboys, that's the Challenger's job. The SRT-8, while expensive, does have the muster to step up to most anything the Ford performance guys can throw at it. But I really can't see Dodge coming out with a lighter weight full size production sports car based off the LX platform, it's just not feasible. |

Woah, deja vu' I just towed one of these yesterday (same color combo too), 35 miles to the dealership, and her motor club wouldn't cover it because she'd lost her keys and needed a new one programmed. Total cost, $175.50. Moral of the story kids, don't lose your car keys.
