I guess not only is it off limits to defend another member when hes being unfairly harassed, but it's also taboo to discuss another member (who nobody on here liked anyway) that left the site almost 5 years ago.

#23, Hmmm...I remember a certain mod posting a p'shopped image of Mcmunkee next to a beach ball saying "Virgin Beach".
I also don't see how RRB posting a crude comment about the guy eclipses other members starting entire threads bashing mcmunkee.
And if you call being a malignant xenophobe contributing to the site, then I guess I better get hatin on some Mexicans too!
I read the last mcmunkee post, he was blathering about immigration or something and when people called him out on it he pretended it was a joke, and then if I recall correctly LTR told him off and he disappeared shortly thereafter.
Ambient and 37 were long time contributing members too

Other than the "REBUBLIKANS R T3H GODZ0RZ" and his dislike of most furrin cars, as well as racism, I didn't really mind him.

#24, Most members were indifferent towards him at the time, but then again the user base and average mentality has changed significantly since then.
For example, posting a drag car on here back then, launching wheels up, would illicit comments of "AWESOME!" but today the most it would get would be "Drag racing sucks. Waste of a (insert car name)."
Some of the more recent users may well look at and bash mcmunkee's comments without knowing that he was a regular "Joe" in the early days of the site and did, as you say, contribute much to it. But at the same time their cracks about him aren't entirely unwarranted, either. The guy said some really dumb things.

#34, Well, yeah, that goes without saying. Posts where I thought an HPI R/C Eclipse was a real car come to mind, and also when I thought the visible intercooler on an Integra was a billet tube grille in the front fascia. >_<
EDIT: Not to mention when I thought the 3 link rear suspension was a "fresh" design, when it fact it was the most common rear suspension in the world about 60 years ago....and to add insult to injury, I drove a 3rd gen Camaro at the time that had it.

Alright, alright.....it is true that I shouldn't have made fun of mcmunkee, I know you can't judge a person based on what he posts on the internet, for all I know he's probably the kind of guy I'd make friends with in real life (as I'm very gregarious) and I shouldn't have jumped on the bandwagon. I apologize for that and if mcmunkee does ever come back I hope there's no weird stigma between us. I guess I got incensed because I thought rrb was being picked on and over the years I've actually met him and come to think of him as a friend...as gay as that sounds. And you all know how dumb I was when I first came here, like the time I called a 3rd gen Firebird a Foxbody.
Also, I won't be making any more stupid rants...I have a blog for that....as gay as that sounds
