that's backwards. Wastegates regulate the exhaust flow to the turbocharger (hence the "waste") and blowoff valves, (more properly known as bypass valves) stop excessive boost from building between the compressor and the cylinder head. In turbocharged applications, the wastegate also does the bypass valve's job, making it unnecessary. You can put a bypass valve on a turbocharger, but there isn't really a point. Only on supercharged applications do they matter.

Ah yes, thank you. I learn something new everyday. It was weird, until right now I could not go to Ricecop but every other site was working fine.
