NOT fully functional.

Don't worry, guys. 9176 will make it all better. I found it last night. Sweet ride.

This guy should be shot for using a Pontiac arrowhead on a GTO-style scoop, though.

#23: Didn't even notice that. Pontiac on a GTO-style scoop on a Mitsubishi...

If he wanted a Pontiac, why didn't he just buy a Pontiac? Not like they're rare or expensive or anything.

How in the hell does this guy connect Pontiac and Mitsubishi?

Unless....maybe those extra tips are for the HD 455 he keeps in the trunk....

I think they're feeding tubes for the extra hamsters he's keeping in his trunk in case the ones under the hood die.

#24 Somebody else noticed the arrowhead but I recognized the scoop right off. It's the same style they used on the '65 GTO, my car's big brother, but it was part of the hood. #26 Skid, this cat couldn't fit an SD 455 in there (it'd wreck his suspension) and if he could, he wouldn't know what to do with it. =) My Pontiac would stomp this little shitbox into oblivion, extra exhaust tips and all.

Well, that's what suspension mods are for. I might try it someday.

Am I the only person, when gazing upon the latest generation of Eclipses, who keeps having to remind himself that they aren't mid-engined? They look like they should be.

Have you seen an SD455, bro? It's half the size of the fuckin' car. Mods only get you so much.

That's common in Jap cars. Del Sols and CRXs look they should be mid-engined, too.

I think it's the whole racecar-ripoff styling that's doing that. The (stock) styling sort of reminds me of the old IMSA GTO and GTP cars.

#30 Now that you mention it, they do, kinda.

#31, yes of course I've seen a 455, but if they can fit a Caddy 500 (the block is only slightly smaller) into a Chevette, I think a 455 swap into a larger Eclipse would be possible.

Actually, a twin-engined Del Sol would be mighty badassed. That'd be a helluva sleeper.

#35 Maybe, but it's a waste of a good engine. Unless it's the last style Eclipse, they're nice. And it'd be a welcome change to see an import with respectable power.

#37: One of the guys on this site claims he used to have an Eclipse built for fairly high HP. Said it was barely streetable.

For that kind of performance, it'd never be wasted. Bah, nevermind. I'll just stick to my other Jap-car fantasy: An MR2 powered Paseo.
