What market does this appeal to? At first I figured it would be all those trendy city-dwelling 20 somethings that Scion has been enjoying sucking money out of recently. But if it's as expensive as D_o says then I can't imagine anyone outside of the baby boomer, upper-class family crowd being interested. |

#4, That mostly seems to be the market for Scions, so it might be a decent move. |

#5, The upper-class family and baby boomers around here seem to be interested mostly in minivans and trendier mid-size SUVs like the Enclave and Acadian. Scion seems to market towards those who normally don't drive cars. This is just what I've observed in and around the Motor City.
#6, I think this might come across as too contemporary for older people.

The local Ford dealer said this is supposed to be aimed at the Expedition crowd. Even he was puzzled as to who it's aimed at. This one was about $40k USD. |

I guess that these are good on gas (respectively), but $40K? I guess it'll hinge on how much are soccer moms, or whoever, willing to spend to green up the environment.
