the story:
I'm drivng along in the shitty part of town, bored, and see this in the parking lot of schucks auto supply. I go into the lot, park, get out, and walk towards the car, right before I take this, some employee comes out of the store. He asks: "can I help you?" "uhm, no?" I reply...confused as to why he is trying to help me outside of the store. Right as I snap the next photo, he says "you cant take photos of my car." "Actually yes I can, its in public view, in a parking lot open to the public, and in broad daylight, so I am fully entitled to do so." "Well I say you cant take a photo of my car." "Too bad, its legal and you cant stop me." *click*

nice. One of my favorite guilty pleasures is taking pictures of rice and having people ask me if I like their car. Then I get to look at them strangely and say, "No."

more: "Raul, shouldnt you be WORKING now?" right as I said that, his mexican friend pulled up in a van. Raul asked his friend (in spanish, assuming that I didnt speak it) "Isnt it illegal to take photos of other people's cars?" His friend agreed, and then they decided to speak in english. I was scared of the whole mexican in a van in the bad part of town thing, so I promptly left.

but cams...I only got shots of the rear end, I didnt get the chance to document the entire car and its "goodness" how sad...maybe I'll go back and bug him while he is working again

I even tried to pull the flattery route, I told him its a cool car and I like it. When that didnt work, I knew I was in trouble. Maybe he thought I was H1gH 73K and was planning on stealing the car, which would have been all too easy.
