#26, Quite a list you've got going there. I see your family has had a Torino. My father had one prior to my birth--it was his first new car.
And it was a basketcase. The paintjob it left the factory with was bad--it was mismatched a little (in color) and it started blistering (!) shortly after he got it. Then, under normal operation (keep in mind, still a NEW car), on a highway onramp, the valvetrain somehow failed (the rods came off the lifters or something), and he had to struggle with Ford to get rid of it. He eventually traded it in on a Celica. At the time, the Ford was on its third paint job.
And here's the kicker--it got a flat tire right across the street from the dealership, just as he was dropping it off.

My Dad' first car was an early 50's Ford, a 52' or 53' , it had a six banger in it that he swapped for an 8, he then bought a Triumph Spitfire secondhand, and kept that untill he got married, that's when he bought his van. The only car tha we really had issues with was the 90 Explorer, it's push button 4x4 system failed twice, the hubs broke from bad metal used in production, it also droppe one of it's gears, but the 93' has been just about bomb-proof despite everything we've thrown at it
