Description:
Could this be the 2010 Toyota Prius? Some are not sure if this is an actual photo, or a really good render.

A Subaru Legacy raped a Yaris and here's the baby. Does anyone also see a fair amount of '06+ Civic sedan in the profile and bodylines?

I swear, we're watching Toyota go to hell in real-time.
Their soul is irreparably diluted from years of ugly, boring appliances that sell in the hundreds of thousands, putting us to sleep while our own domestic industry goes broke trying to make cars that match Toyota and look good at the same time (and usually fail). Meanwhile Toyota can sell an amorphous blob or a vehicle that looks like the janitor's toddler played with the clay model of last year's car. What's up with the "fuck it, it's good enough" hood line that doesn't line up with the fender atop the headlights?

And it's about as ugly as the current Prius. Maybe the Volt will become the next greenie fashion accessory instead.

#1, That may be a bitter perspective, but it's one I totally agree with

Toyota PR has confirmed that this is indeed the redesigned Prius that will be unveiled at NAIAS 2009.

[edit] I just realized... first two letters of Prius... PR. It sure has done a lot for Toyota PR.

To be perfectly honest. It is not a bad-looking car. It looks better than the current Prius.

It's still rather boring, yet different enough so trendy-yuppie-hippies can still scream from 2 miles away that they're environmentally conscious and better than everyone else.

Spaeking of Yaris', I saw a 5 door hatch today, appeared to have a MASS. plate, as well.

Hmmm, apparently they sell them here now

#8, I agree it's better but like the new matrix and corrolla it's just a slight redo. Those cars are pushing some years now.

#9, Yeah, I believe they're selling the 5-door liftback in America now.

I still think the 3-door liftback Yaris is quite a fetching-looking little subcompact. The sedan just looks awkward.

#10, The new Matrix/Vibe are incredibly ugly.. the Corolla is.. well.. a Corolla, still very boring and blobby.

#8, I rescind that comment. In retrospect, this was the worst-looking Prius. Yeah, the newest one is pretty "out there", but I actually find its quirkiness endearing. Particularly the Prime version. The second-gen Prius almost looks "quaint" in comparison to this one.
