#4, This is rice. Modifications that make no fucking sense whatsoever, done to one of the most yawn/meh inducing cars in the world: the MkIII Golf. VW fanboy almost equals a ricer to me, they seem suffer similar brain dysfunctions: 'my car is the best' 'it's original (even though it's fucking not)' 'you jealous hater', etc. etc. + they too seem to behave like complete dipshits on the road.

Sure it looks cool (if you want to be that forgiving), but there's a concern for functionality too. This thing looks to be a tire-rubbing, wheel-radius negating nightmare on the road. If the suspension is done up properly and the camber and center or gravity are right you could probably have fun with it, but you can't convince me that filling the fenders with wheels that big is a good idea. And the subset of people who modify Golf and Rabbits like this aren't so much the type that "know how to drive" as "bottom out in a McDonald's parking lot after a burnout gone wrong".

#6, considering i own the mk3, i take offense to that. most people in the VW "scene" for mk3s don't consider their cars "original", just not rice. there are no neon lights, ugly body kits or ridiculous wings.

It's not rice, rather it's another tacky car customization phenomenon: That "Euro look" that seems so popular on VWs. Basically, it's a European lowrider.

regardless of fanboys or rice, I have to agree with the height thing. My car takes work not to drag the bumper out of half of the businesses in town and its bone stock (and not NEAR that low!) Unless of course, it's bagged or has awesome hydraulic hoppin' action, then you're golden!
