My dad's '91 Monaco had basically the same engine as the DeLorean, interestingly enough, but my dad's Monaco actually had more hp...funny, huh?

I think it's 5WD, there is a hidden wheel beneath the car for extra traction and cornering capabilities

Front wheel drive just doesnt belong on a drag strip. Its like going ralley racing in a chevelle or something.

Or stock car racing in a Taurus... haha, now I'm gonna get flamed from Rusty Wallace and Dale Jarrett fans...

When was the last time anyone seen a chevelle going 100 mph down a mountain side half covered in snow. When the driver was sober I should add.

There are STILL rallies for those types of cars. I've heard of many rallies which are restricted to '72 and before cars. Besides, why do you think the Mini was revolutionary? Because all its competition was big, rear-wheel-drive cars. And yes, I'm a Ford guy (even though my two favorite NASCAR drivers are Kevin and Jr.) but even I have to admit that the Taurus has no business on a NASCAR track. Actually, NONE of the cars out there now have any business out there, but the Taurus and the Intrepid are the worst.

The biggest FWD vehicle ever made was the Olds Toronado, and I believe it had a longitudinaly placed engine as well, it was attached to the transaxle by some odd gearing/drive belt system that is notoriously a headache to repair since it was unique to that vehicle and that vehicle only

a lot of those cars were unique to Toronados, including the front shocks.
