#7 - I tried to convince a ricer that Supra are not the Supercars they think earlier, and I think I might have gotten him to see the light, he admitted it was overpriced for the performance!! YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!

I saw an ad for a 93 TT Supra selling for $30K recently...for that money, I`ll get a 2001 Camaro SS and smoke that Supra in every gear...and if I spend a couple grand on bolt-ons, there`s no way that supra would catch up to me
supras are cool, but not exactly all that fast if stock

They're popular because of that damn movie...everyone wants one now. And Supra drivers are such assholes; they think that their cars are the fastest street legal cars in the world (I'm serious, go look at the banner on www.toyota-supra.com). They charge you as much as a new Corvette for a four year old (at the newest) Japanese sports car that's almost as fast. LAME.

Supra ricers also claim thier street supras can push in excess of 1200 HP. Although I have yet to see a street legal one with more than 700HP. Then again, if the civic boys can claim 400HP per liter, I guess the supra boys should be allowed to bullshit everyone too.

I think there's a kit on SupraStore.com, it's a 1,000 hp turbo kit. It comes with a 150 horse N.O.S. system (without the bottle), so I wonder does that horsepower figure include the 150 horse shot?
BTW, the kit costs $33,000. I could build a 10 second Hemi powered Mopar A-body for that much. Of course, Supra owners think they could just bolt on that kit and run 9s. Get a 30k Supra and bolt that 33k kit on it, it wouldn't run shit in the quarter. You'd have just spent $63,000 on a car with stock suspension and wheels.

33,000? huh. there`s a turbo kit for z28 on the net (forgot the site`s name...if you look it up on google, it should be easy to find) that goes for 5,000 and gives you something like 500 hp/torque at 12 psi I believe...the max on the kit is 16 psi
that allows you to run low 12`s
they also have a project z28 with that turbo pushing 700 hp
