This photo also shows the clear Lexan skirts which sealed the car to the ground enabling the vacuum effect... |

Sure, it's ugly, but they went around corners like nothing else. Active aero that even works standing still. I doubt a modern Formula 1 car could go around a 50-100' skidpad faster. |

Today's F1 cars have extremely good aerodynamics, and suspension and tires, so I think they are the fastest cars ever built on the planet. But this is way more lethal...
