This photo also shows the clear Lexan skirts which sealed the car to the ground enabling the vacuum effect...

Sure, it's ugly, but they went around corners like nothing else. Active aero that even works standing still. I doubt a modern Formula 1 car could go around a 50-100' skidpad faster.

Today's F1 cars have extremely good aerodynamics, and suspension and tires, so I think they are the fastest cars ever built on the planet. But this is way more lethal...

Still awesome in GT5... I can cruise comfortably at 240mph, and even do a lap of Daytona in 41 seconds...

...in reverse.
