What Jack Yi fails to mension is that to get his Si in the 11's, he's put over $55,000 under the hood, lol

I hate to break it to the world of Lightning Lovers but they only have 380HP stock! and are very heavy but still pull down respectable times! but theirnumber will be up when the SRT 10 hits the street! 500HP V-10 in a Dodge Ram. That also pulls .95s on the Skid pad... possibly the best all prefomance in a stock Puck up EVER! The down side? a $45K price tag!

Percentage of the trucks that will make it past a year without wrapping around a light pole.

Ummm, this car is not crap at all. Even for putting 55K under the hood he is beating 200,000 dollar Ferraris. Not to mention ripping apart Z8's, Z06, Lamborghinis and Porsche. All that out of a Civic is impressive.

yeah, this car -is- crap. I'd sure love to see the dyno that says it gets over 500hp. And if it --is--, which I have to doubt very, very seriously, it's just another POS Honda that -shouldn't be- 500 horses+. The owner wants a fast car, he should buy a fast car that actually looks like it's decent, and then make it a hell of a lot faster than this piece for half the $$$.

btw, the 'Honda' is presumed, I don't know what the hell the ugly, economical-looking Grandma Car(tm) is, for sure.

500plus - you dont have to call bs on every god damn car on here that advertises more hp than you think that it can handle...and for those people who say "for 55k he could have bought a zo6"...shut up...obviously he didnt want a zo6? maybe he wanted a civic that runs 11's, maybe he wanted to be different? morons

you are just like ricers when you say "ooh ahh for that kind of money he could have had a V8" well how do you know that he doesnt have a fast v8 and the civic is his project car, and he happens to enjoy more challenging tasks, like modding civics

I think the main reason that ricers buy 4 bangers is because its cheaper to insure

ambient, or maybe 500 horses is unrealistic for that car, and maybe that car was designed initially as a cheap, efficient economy car -- whereas say a Camaro or Corvette or Mustang or even an S2000 was designed to actually move a little. And doing that to a civic may be difficult, but so is forcing yourself to drive spikes through your skull. I can't decide which would be more painful.

And as for lightnings not having so much horsepower, that's because they are heavier, with more wind resistance, they have more torque. Check their numbers over. Their still a truck. Cars like this (sorta) get by with no ft-lbs whatsoever. Muscle cars (or, trucks) that actually have some balls under the hood (I still don't believe it's -reasonably- realistic for this car to have over 500, no matter what you say) need some torque to push 'em down the road.

I just realized why this car is so slow for the power it's supposed to have....it's front wheel drive. When you take off in one, the weight transfers to the rear. Imagine how that affects his traction....Civic owners should stick to autocrossing or grocery getting (or both, if you're really adventurous).

I guess I don't get it. Taking a car that runs 16's and making it run 11's? You want to hate it but you know you can't so you come up with reasons like he's lying about the 500 hp. Come on. It's like calling a Z06 a POS which I am sure no one would.

For that kind of power it should be running faster. We have a 400hp corolla over here turboed etc and it runs 11.2 or something about that and its only the 3rd fastest FWD car in the land. I really dont get it.
