Cars like this, no matter how good/bad they ran in the past, or what folks thought of them when new, you have to give em' credit now for simply surviving

Leave the shitty paint, but make everything else kick ass. Ultimate sleeper.

#12, awesomest thing ever. Well, maybe next to getting smoked by, say, a Geo Tracker with a 350.

It's a '68. A new coat and paint and a vinyl top and it would be a nice looking cruiser.

#10, The ultimate sleeper in this car's case would be if it were a four door. People (the ones who know their cars, anyway) generally expect two door Cutlasses to be quick, since so many have been built up. Then again, the full wheel covers and the whitewalls might put their guard down a bit.

I like a lot of vintage cars with vinyl tops but I cringe when you see what's left underneath after 30-40 years.
