... And my panties arent in a knot for two reasons:

1.) I don't wear panties... I'm a guy... I wear boxers...
2.) I'm not wearing any underwear...

Well, console yourself with the fact that only schmucks own Boxsters, and that there are enough schmucks to keep Porsche afloat so they can build real cars.

Just so you know...(I haven't read all the posts, so this might have been said), Porsche is planning on coming out with a competitor to the VW Golf, and upcoming BMW 1 series hatchbacks. It'll be priced around $25,000-30,000.

I agree, they did keep Porsche afloat, I'm more pissed at the folks that buy/own Boxsters than I am with Porsche for making it. Although I still think they could have done better <looks at the Boxsters ass> Much better...

Anyway, remember that Ferdinand Porsche designed the Beetle, and before that he was building farm equipment. Before that, he was building weirdo electric cars. The Porsche heritage is more than just the Porsche company.

#26, Yes, Porsche is coming out with a small, two-door hatchback. It will most likely be front-engined, with AWD and a 4 cylinder boxer engine.

Well, at least it will be cool :)
I just wish Porsche stayed more towards the higher price ranges. I can understand what they are doing (Boxster, SUV, and the new whatchamafuck) from a Business standpoint. But it sorta puts a stain on their Heritage.

#27, That makes a LOT of sense, buddy! That's like hating people who eat diseased meat rather than the company that put it on the shelves.

I'm all for Porsche making some entry level cars like DiRF mentioned in #24, BMW and Mercedes have been doing it and no one complains. It's a way to expand their market and stay IN BUSINESS. But I do think they should stick to their trademarks and not follow yuppie trends just to make a few extra bucks. They can stay in business without sacrificing their reputation that took decades to earn.

#38, Only if the diseased meat was clearly labeled "DISEASED MEAT".

Let me expand upon #27, Im pissed at the people that buy them because they tend to be stuck-up assholes who think that owning a car that says Porsche on it makes them cool.
