That is incredibly nice, but that exhaust is terribly legal, but i am presuming it in not a street legal car anyway.....

On this picture the car hasn't been inspected yet, but Hans Dahlbäck, the owner, didn't think it would be that big problem. And Hitler haven't done much designing on the Golf.

#45 Not in the past few years, anyway. Elvis talked him out if it cuz he was afraid it'd blow Hitler's cover as defense attorney. Besides, 2Pac wanted him to work on the BMW.

Actualy, Hitler didn't found VW, but he and the nazis were big supporters of the company and it's products, proclaiming them (especialy the Beetle) the ideal "cars for the people"

This is the real deal! The car is capable of 900 wheel hp. It varied between 600-900 because the guy couldn't get traction on an AWD dyno...that speaks for itself. The only factory pieces of the Golf left are the roofline and floor pans...Entire Interior is carbon fiber, bringing the total vehicle weight down to around 2000 pounds! With this power to weight ratio...the car can be put in the same category as some Formula 1 cars...There was an article about it in Sport Compact Car...the WRX crazy issue...don't know what month.

www.audituning.com

you guys claim your american drag cars can produce the same numbers. who cares? this car is built for racing like real men do, on a racetrack. anyone can put a foot on a pedal and shift.

Shame it can only hit those numbers on ultra-high-octane fuel, and has to be operated in a detuned state to use pump gas.

Still, it's an impressive example of what you can build for yourself if you really want to spend a lot of money (which I imagine was necessary, since this car has a 5cyl engine from an Audi, some fairly sturdy drivetrain components, etc.).

#58, are you trying to imply that no americans cars race on racetracks?
