#38 I couldn't see dropping almost 4k on an 83, myself. It would have to be immaculate, which this one seems not to be. and modified, which this one doesn't sound to be. And sporting a 350ci underhood, lol.

I hear she's desprate for $$, I may offer $3500 by mid-week, but if not, I'll find a different one, I NEED 4X4

#41 FUCK THAT. Too uncomfortable, and too much engine.... besides, a Boss Hoss looks better.

It's offical, the engine IS blown, digging a little deeper, we found that 2 of it's cylinders are dead, have no compression, and one appers to be the result of a thrown rod :-(

#50, That's what I'd thought. I wonder how much will have to be done to make it go in? I doubt it's any larger in external dimensions than that Porsche V8, but won't you have to fabricate some stuff to mount it and whatnot?

#53, They make a retro-fit kit that includes a custom oil pan, motor mounts, and a corvette bell housing w/ an adapter to make it accept the Porsche torque tube, our SBC will actulay weight about 100 lbs. less than the stock engine in this car, and will have plenty of room in the engine bay since the one that came out had OHC and was very very wide accross the top

Bottom line, 400hp engine in a car that weighs about 3200lbs

I always wanted a 928. Great GT car, with a 400 horse SB V8 it'd be better.

#54, What did the 928 do stock? 300-odd horsepower?
Of course, it was DOHC so it'd be down on torque.

#59, It's SOHC, but there's one cam per cylinder bank, stock, they did just under 300HP when they first started production and as the years went on that climbed up into the low 300's, and actualy had a good ammount of torque, the downsides were weight, even cast in aluminum, they weigh more than a LT1 does, they're massive, if you saw the engine just lying on the ground, you'd think it was a diesel truck engine, seriously
