I only know this car because every time I buy an oil pan for a chevy small block, it explicitly warns in the ad "Will not fit Monza" :-)

I had a 79 Olds Firenza -- which was there version of the Monza -- which had a V8 and ran very nicely, thankyewverymuch...

my neighbors across the street had a wagon sitting in their driveway but they moved away maybe about 6 years ago and it dissapered

I've seen a few of these. Every city street had at least one on it in the early '80s. Usually dark brown.

just because Mitsubishi calls their convertibles Spyders, doesn't mean Chevy does :P "Spyder" was a factory "performance" option, complete with cute spider decals...

#19, Uhm, sorry Dude, but Spyder was used by the European carmakers to signify their topless-convertibles WAAAAYYYYYY before the Chevy Monza ever existed.

Spyder traditionally meant a convertible without a retractable roof. (a "permanent" topless car, but many of them had a tent-like flimsy roof that could be affixed, in about 10-15 minutes.)
