#5, That was an ad slogan GM dreamed up in the 80's to try and shake the Image of Oldsmobile being an "Old folks car" each Olds ad ended with the line "this is not your father's oldsmobile"

Olds of the late 90's...some of them were cool... Aurora, only V8 4-door GM that isn't the price of a Cadillac.
Intrigue, had a Northstar-derived V6, not available in Buick Century/Regal / Pontiac Grand Prix...
Alero, pretty nice car, and not as ugly as its (at the time) plastic clad Pontiac cousin.

But, it was too little too late.
