Dear GM:
Dropping a SC 3.8 into the 2004 Monte Carlo will not increase sales. Why? Because the gernaral public doesn't give a rats ass about the Monte Carlo (except for the NASCAR followers). |

I'm debating if my wife needs a Buick PA Ultra (used) or something completely useless in the winter like a mustang convertible |

#9, jah... I really prefer RWD. My wife loves her Mountaineer... but once I pay it off, I'll get it and buy her something else. She really doesn't need a 5.0L v8!
The Gran Marquis or Crown Vic also springs to mind... at least those are full framed. |

Yeah the regular SS is 200hp and is N/A. New for 2004 is the "Supercharged SS" model with 240hp (they say "Supercharged SS" on the side instead of "Monte Carlo SS". The Impala didn't have an SS for this generation until this year so those are just called "SS" and they are all supercharged. Both the MC Supercharged SS and Impala SS are only available in black. Both have ground effects standard, nice-looking exhaust tips on both sides and 17" wheels. The MC has a NASCAR-style lip spoiler and the Impala SS has a black painted back panel (instead of dark red). Still a V6 and FWD, but they are faster than the LT1 94-96 Impala SS.

Make it a Supercharged 350 V-8 and they would sale like mad, and wouldn't be a disgrace to the SS title. |
