Some guy from the "votech" class in my high school tried to off road on a golf course in some old sedan he had, It was a Buick or Maybe a Caprice? dunno, but he caught air coming up a rise and nose-dived it into the ground where it died, he panicked and ran, and didn't even take the plates, needless to say, he was caught |

one shall not take hard corners at high speeds when offroading.
Those truck commercials where they show the vehicle going like 70mph through rocky terrain always gets big laughs with my pals. Oops... who needs a frame? Most offroading / rock crawling is pretty slow going... Exceptions are there - mostly involving sand, but you always have to be careful. |

#5, Also - I'll add the I personally don't think there is anything inherently unstable with the explorer - it is just the fact that most soccer moms really have no idea how to handle a vehicle with a higher center of gravity + the too low of a tire pressure on these vehiclles to give them a softer ride. I put my pressure up as recommended by the tire manufacturer, not Ford. |

wheres your suv love now suv fans?
considering how tame a golf course is by outdoor standards, imagine had this been a rough terain like one of those typical suv commercials where you see them running through muddy trenches and going over rocks with relative ease.
proof that 90% of these vehicles truly are useless. |

#10, I like my SUV for brutal michigan winters, plus visiting my parents who live off of a dirt road / 1 lane track some 4 miles into the woods.
but most people over assume the capabilities of their vehicles that for sure! |
