Quote from the bulider: "The hood vent and sideskirts are fully functional! The hood vent out all the hot air from the engine bay and the sideskirts actually channel air to the rear brakes!"

Up for sale is an ’86 CRX Si 5-speed with a wooden body kit, built by me. You may remember my old car, the gray Sentra with the wooden body kit that was sold on eBay and became famous on the Internet, its picture even made it into Import Tuner magazine! Well after that car everyone wanted me to build another so here it is! This project was sponsored by members of the 3000GT/Stealth International message board (www.3si.org). All the members that donated own a percentage of the car and when this auction is over they will all receive their percentages of the money back.

Before everyone sends me tons e-mails calling me ricer and telling me how stupid the car is, realize that this car is obviously a joke. I made it to make fun of some of the ridiculous trends in sport compact cars these days. Its all in good fun, I’m not serious about it. ;) Everywhere you go you get looks from everyone, like I said in the last auction, more so than in some exotic like a Ferrari. Everybody just stops and stares or points with big smile on their faces. Everywhere I go people love it. |

Many hours have been put into this car from the beginning. It was bought cheap and brought back into 100% perfect running condition before any other modifications were performed. In the last few thousand miles it has received new:
Spark plugs
Plug wires
Distributor cap & rotor
Head gasket
Timing belt
Thermostat
Fuel filter
Water pump
Driver’s side CV joint
Driver’s side steering knuckle & wheel bearing
Muffler
Front brake pads
Belts
Thermal fan switch
Temperature sending unit
Seat covers, floor mats, & steering wheel cover
O2 sensor
Front tires
Bigger front radiator fan
Coolant overflow bottle
Battery
Newer radiator

Add all that up and it’s really a lot of money. The car has 190K miles on it and runs AWESOME! Honda reliability! It’s an Si so it has the nicer fuel injected engine and with proper maintenance will last to 300K miles and farther. It also just passes Salt Lake City Utah emissions, which are pretty strict so that tells you how well the engine is running for an ’86! The “performance” mods on the car are the glass pack muffler and the DSM cone intake filter. The battery was also relocated to the back hatch. The interior has blue seat covers, floor mats, and steering wheel cover. The interior is in excellent condition. It also has a working power sunroof!
The wood body kit on the exterior of the car was carefully designed and built by me. Its securely attached to the body of the car and it is stained to protect from water, etc. It also has custom Altezza taillights and Plexiglas headlight covers that I made. This car is a hundred times better than the old Sentra in every way.

The sound system of the car is a custom in-car computer that is run off of a power inverter. You can load it up with mp3’s and control it with the keyboard or a smaller keypad. It runs Win Amp and uses the keyboard hotkey shortcuts for the controls. It’s a Dell system with a Pentium 200mmx processor and ~3GB hard drive. To add music you can plug it into a home network or just plug in a monitor temporarily and save music off of a CD.
If you have any questions or comments you can reach me at tajmjacobs2@hotmail.com and I’ll try to answer everybody.
Shipping can be arranged a few different ways, all paid for by the buyer. You can pick the car up yourself or set up shipping through an auto transport company. For a fee of $300-$600 (depending on how far away you live) I will be willing drive the car to your nearest airport anywhere in the continental U.S. and catch a plane home. (And yes, its runs good enough to make it across the country.)

#9, I'm telling you, the quarter mile times must be 20 seconds at the minimum :) |

That would be with a STRONG wind behind it...stock, these run 17-18 seconds, right? 20 would be a miracle. |

Hmm...maybe with a hurricane force gust behind it, it might break 15 seconds |

If you look at the pictures with the auction itself, it appears that he made his own Altezzas by removing part of the lenses from his taillamps. |

for the altezzas, he removed the red lens, cut it into five parts, asembled it into a cube, then put that cube over the lightbulb and covered that with a sheet of plexi.
Clever hobby, if I do say so myself. |

At least he put actual work into it (quite a lot of work, it sounds like) instead of just going down to Pep Boys, buying a lot of crap and bolting it on.
That said, it's still completely stupid-looking and you'd never see me driving it. |
