my first car that I got to drive was my mom's 1984 Nissan king cab truck. My first car was a rust bucket 1968 Firebird that I bought in '87.

I sure don't miss the first car that was mine. It was like a '93 Geo Storm hatchback. Was expecting good gas mileage, but it sucked up gas like a newborn sucks on tit. The thing ended up overheating on me when I was sitting in the Captain D's drive-thru. (temp gauge showed normal operating temp, but the sudden cloud of steam from under the hood showed otherwise) Turned it off and pushed it out of the way. Had it checked out and the block had warped from the heat. So I got rid of it right then and there.

Olds Station Wagon with Rebel Flag. Well I guess it works if you can't get your hands on an old Charger.

I miss my first car, '73 240Z. Still had the original engine (albeit it was leaking oil like mad), if i still had it i might do a 300XZ TT or SR20DET swap. Lost it because when I was driving down a street "someone's" volvo pulled out from the high school parking lot and i was too close to stop and rammed the volvo (pure comedy that the somone was my mother).

oh, and the south lost, get over it.

#11, My father would probably be able to relate to you...even though it wasn't his FIRST car, it was his first NEW car...his British Racing Green 1970 240Z.
He was so proud he could buy a car like that new, but he only had it for a few months when some dumb shit in a big 'ole Buick Riviera rear-ended him. The dumbshit was uninsured, so my father had to make do with what money he had.
He got a mechanic to take the undamaged rear-end of another smashed 240Z, and weld it to the undamaged front half of HIS 240Z...but it was never the same...

#11, Oh yeah, I have to mention...Disrupture is Canadian, and not really aware of what the "Rebel" flag means... we've talked about it with him before in another thread... he just thought it looked cool.

#13, heh, reminds me of a concert in Russia shortly after the fall of the USSR, russian guy was waving around a rebel flag thinking it was just an "old american flag".

First car I ever drove on actual roads was a 2001 Toyota Echo coupe.

Beat that for shittiness.

First car I ever drove on actual roads... 1993 Chrysler Concorde. On US1. It was like being thrown into the deep-end of a pool to learn how to swim.
