Ooh, a $40K hatchback? No thanks. I like the concept but it's so far from being worth the money needed to build it.
If they ever offer a factory-built version of this for around $25K, that would be worth it.

#21, old 5.0 swaps are dirt cheap, IIRC the site said under 20k with junkyard parts

#20, It's still very expensive, but it is a factory high-output engine. Price-wise, it's in higher territory than a Cobra crate engine, though* (and yes, I realize it is rated to make more power).
*at least based on prices I've seen.

And now, Gentlemen, imagine a really rich richkid putting on all the nice rice available...
Guppymouth-bodykit, bookshelf/F15 wing, blingblingrims, a playstation... you name it.
Add this to the RWD-Twin-turboed V8 and you have the worst nighmare possible:
A crappy ricebowl capable of tearing apart every single decent performance car.
And the worst thing is the grinning, baggystyle, visor-wearing assclown driving it.
This kit >must< be stopped!!

They already have the opportunity to rice Cobra Mustangs, that's no reason to hold back offering this.

The best thing we could hope for is for him to crash it into something hard - like a street lamp or a garbage truck. But that will be assumed if he cannot handle the car properly (which we all hope ricers will never master).

Doesn´t match well with 1000+ V8 TT NAAAHHWWWSSS...

it imples that rice must be a compact car for one as well as rice must be on a car that was "crappy" to begin with, both of which all false.
