#58, Even though Iraq didnt have anything to do with Al Quaida(sp?) he had let terrorist harbor in his country. Saddam also was seeking chemical and bio weapons for what purpose we may never know but thankfully we took them out b4 we found out the hard way. We KNOW he had some chem/bio. weapons because he used them on his own ppl in the late 80's. The UN tried for 12 yrs. to get him to comply with a # of reslolution but he banned them from his country. Finally Bush and Powell got fed up with his runarounds and aurthorized war. |

#59, I agree on Saudi Arabia. We should also reexamine our ties to Israel, IMO. They use just as many "low" tactics as Pakistan, and are constantly breaking cease fires, but you can't question them or else everyone will inexplicably label you an "anti-semite". |

#65, A-FUCKING-MEN. How quickly they forget the prosecution and torture they endured under Hitler, only to do the same to the Palistinians. Our support of their tryanny is the cause of most ill will towards America in the middle east, IMO.

#65, "anti-semite" haHA...that's a funny phrase...what everyone forgets, is that the Muslims are technically "Semites" also. Look it up.
Yeah, Israel is basically an asshole nation... it's Europes fault. Before WWII, that area was shared by the native Muslims and native Jews, they co-existed, they didn't like each other, but they were cool as long as no one started any shit.
After WWII, the European Jews moved in, and asked the native Jews, "Why are you sharing your land with these other people? Kick them out!"...and 50+ years of bullshit commenced. |

Here's what I see coming for the election...
Dean/Kerry/Gebhardt/Clark are all setting themselves up for a repeat of the campaigns of Democrats like George McGovern, Walter Mondale, and Michael Dukakis. The claims they are making to win the party nomination will be the same stands that will lose the general election for them. All of the extreme-left stances and hatred for Bush they are displaying now will win over the people that will get them the Democratic nomination, but will never win over mainstream America. Clinton was a horrible President, but he was an incredible campaigner despite his dishonesty. At least he knew history and was destined not to repeat it, he had the sense to move further to the right to win over voters while he was running. Of course when he got into to office, he abandoned that stance and returned to the left...but none of the current Democrat candidates are doing that, except maybe Joe Leiberman. I think Joe Leiberman is the only...

Democarat who COULD win, but he won't because he can't win the Democratic nomination with his support of the war and defending national security. |

#76, This is true. No matter who's in office, the other side will always call him a "horrible president", just because he has that little "R" or "D" after his name. |
