Why even bother with the pants at that point? Just better hope that you don't have to run from/kick any one, or even get your wallet out of your back pocket.

a few weeks ago I was riding in the mountaineer with my wife driving - going through the ghetto part of town and there was a kid with extremely low riding pants walking down the street. He stopped at the corner and gave me a dirty 'gangsta' look... then his pants fell all the way of around his ankles... my wife and I just pointed and laughed our asses off as we drove away...

I really don't understand the point of this; I don't even see how it could possibly be comfortable.

ya but then too... I never got disco. These things come and go. One day the rap/hip-hop craz will be held in the same light as Disco and the Hair Bands of the 80's.

#8, I listen to Dee Snyder's House of Hair every Saturday night, so I concur.

Some of the best hard rock was actually made in the '80s, but some of the best stuff is also a bit obscure.

#12, I'm not crazy about The Darkness because they don't sound much like a real hair band to me. The music is not something that wouldn't have passed in the '80s (in fact, it sounds remarkably like something you'd hear out of a lame contemporary act like American Hi-Fi), and the lead singer doesn't do the classic, over-emotive clenched-teeth vocals that were so prevalent during the time period. Just occasionally getting high-pitched doesn't make a modern act like like a hair band. Personally, I think Lovefist (from GTA: Vice City) was a better hairband tribute, even though the songs blew.

#15 When I first heard The Darkness I thought 80s hair band, (or even Queen... a little bit) but the more I hear the more I associate em with like early 90s bands like Cinderella and what not.. but there is that gravelly anger missin... maybe thats why I could tolerate the squeaky shit better back in the day... thered be a good pissed off growl to back it up, usually. Their like a friendly version of Ratt.... lol. But I still dig some of their stuff.
