So, how does the same paint/wheel combo from the GTR sound? Mesh grill, no bumber, exposed oil-cooler, roll cage, VDO gauges and a half-length canvas sunroof sound? At around 2000 Lbs loaded, maybe less, she should scoot with 175 HP. I am so excited! |

I'd leave it stock. Then again, it would be hard to obtain the original parts for it... |

#24, Why? So I can't take it on the freeway? So all I can do is polish it and think about how pretty it looks? Nah. BTW, talked to Gil and everything looks good. Looks like next Friday is the cars big trip... I'll post pics :) |

#26, Because it's a rare historical piece, and heavily customizing it would make it lose its historical value.
And what rule says that you can't take a stock older car on the freeway? I do. I don't even polish mine that often, either. |

#27, Eh, all easily reversible mods. And besides, I will got a lot more enjoyment out of it that way. |

#28, I also see nothing wrong with doing some performance mods to an older semi-historic car. It's for your enjoyment and your money. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but not everyone has the same taste.

#29, I don't see anything wrong with doing performance modifications to a historic car most of the time, but rarity is a huge factor. There aren't too many solid '69 Coronas riding around, especially not with the automatic gearbox.
However, I'm not trying to say that thirtyseven is doing anything akin to drywalling the Sistine Chapel. I merely said that, were it mine, I'd restore it to stock or as close to stock condition as possible. |

#15, it had no engine when I saw it. And it had extensive rear damage. Possibly rear ended in a snowstorm. |
