Did anyone see the new Batman Movie? How was it? I heard they reduced CG-Effects (the scourge of contemporary movie-making) were reduced to an absolute minimum.

...last movie I saw in the theatres... hmm... oh yeah, Cinderella Man. Which was unfuckingbelievably awesome. I don't get out to the theatres that often...even though there's one within WALKING distance from my house :(

#16, ...oh how little I knew the astonishing film that The Dark Knight would be. Batman Begins was damn good, but my GOD was TDK incredible. Dark Knight Rises was a horrifying twisted mutant of a film with idiot balls and plot holes aplenty. I get the impression with DKR that they had a variety of certain scenes they had in mind to film and put up on screen, but forgot to, I don't know, actually have a logical way to tie them all together. The absolute worst part was Bruce Wayne being informed of an incredibly important plot detail during a goddamn dream/hallucination. I'm sorry, but your subconscious doesn't just arbitrarily make you aware of things you personally do not know.

#14, I actually now have a very VERY big problem with Cinderella Man, and that is how Max Baer was portrayed. That film did his legacy and reputation a massive disservice. I hate when a movie based on real events feels the needs to make an antagonist far more vile and villainous than they were in real life, just to pump up the drama.
