Hey, it's 2.5" tubing, and the bends are less severe than they would be in the Borla setup, for example, since the 180* turn happens OUTSIDE the muffler. |

The best part is that it's really very quiet until I nail the gas pedal. |

Nope. Haven't been able to find a circuit or autocross opportunity yet, drag racing it would be an exercise in futility, and street racing is dumb.
Plus, the 4.2 has about 650 miles on it, so I'm still trying to keep the revs down below 3500 (which is a pity, because I think the torque peak is around 3000 and the curve should be pretty flat from there).
edit: However, I did push it through some nice twisty corners on a downhill this morning, which was a freaking blast.

Needs a little more front spring because the rears are so stiff, but it does a pretty good job of going where I ask it to. I'll probably put 350 lb/in coilovers on it (the front) eventually.

Why don't you go on some kind of a road trip and break that 1000-mile mark? |

I just don't like driving that long at a stretch. It'll get there eventually. I need to look into either getting this thing on a dyno or obtaining logging/tuning equipment; I think I can get away with running a little leaner and with more timing advance at low RPMs since the compression is a little lower than on the 3.8. I don't know how much improvement is possible, since large cams tend to waste a lot of gas at idle, but I've been experiencing mostly aroung 15 MPG so far. The 3.8 was that bad, too, but the car also had a lot of mechanical problems at the time. |

Yay, up to 800 miles! :p
New struts and front springs go on tomorrow. 5-way adjustable Tokicos and some 750-850 lb-in. progressive H&R race springs.

Not right now, no. I'm just getting the suspension finished off so I can knock fillings out of my teeth every time I hit bumps. |

#59, heh. My dad's 3 rides a bit hard on bumpy surfaces. He does have the 17s and the semi-low pro tires though. |
