My grandfather had a '72 88 like this. Well, I mean it didn't have a blower or anything, but it looked like this. It was a green four-door with a 72,000 mile Rocket 350 in it. It ran good, but need a LOT of bodywork (dented up all over). After he died when I was ten, my parents got the car, and sold it for $1000 to a friend of theirs, who sold it for $1200 to some black guy, who put 18" chrome rims and a huge stereo in it. I'm still kicking myself over that. |

And you can't argue with the size of the tires, either... |

The slope up from the quarters was much less extreme on the original. The roof was probably about a full 6in. taller. And the headlight bazels were flat, if I remember correctly. Which means he would've had to alter not just the bezels, but the entire front clip (no seams) and the bumper. It could be done with fiberglass. I'll have to double-check those bezels- if I'm right, that's alot of work. I'll be back in a minute. |

I was wrong- the headlight surrounds are stock. I think it is a 'glass bumper, though, only cuz the originals had holes on either side of the license plate. |

The roof was definitely chopped a lot. The front clip is unaltered except for the bumper, which appears to be fiberglass. And of course the painted over chrome.
BTW, the entire front cap on these were fiberglass. Mine was broken in several spots. |
