SN-95 typicaly refers to the 94-98s with new edge being 99-04. That's how I always see it broken down.
Mustang people are goofy though.

I've heard of "New Edge" before, I just thought it was a mostly a Mustang enthusiast term |

I see SN-95 II used on occasion. In anycase 99-04 was the new edge bodystyle and brought with it the PI heads and some transmission happenings roughly halfway through the run. |

New Edge was simply a name for certain style of design at Ford: Focus, Cougar, etc.

I prefer the styling of the New Edge with it's creases and straight lines to the SN95, which are a little too round and bland for my tastes. Also, the SN95s look kinda chubby to me. |
