Description:
2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee without a dash, steering wheel, HVAC unit, and console. My girlfriends heat stopped working because Jeep uses shit plastic parts that can only be accessed and replaced by removing all of this stuff.

#3, the dealership wanted 1200 for the repair! I spent around 450 in parts.

Update:Something else is broken in the AC unit.. so I have to do this again. But, this time I know more about it and the process should be easier. Also, this repair won't reqire disconnectiong the A/C lines or heater core.

#9, UPDATE... AGAIN! So.. the heater core died and the HVAC system began to pump antifreeze into the cabin... great. For the third time, I had to remove the dash and HVAC system to replace that part. This time i purchased aftermarket metal blend doors to swap out while I had it apart.

I have to take off only the top of the dash to change the speedo cable in the Frog. I took it apart 2 or 3 times already and everytime my fingers were sore and bleeding. But I'll have to do it, knowing the useless idiot mechanics in my town they'd take a fucking hacksaw to the dash to do it.

The HVAC in my 6K doesn't work properly; it blows up through the defrost vents instead of the dash vents at random. The dash needs to come out anyway because it's cracked, but the whole dash shell is one huge, fragile piece of plastic and I haven't seen an intact blue one in a junkyard in over a year.
