#15, Like I said before, I was comparing lemons to lemons. Neither car is something I would want, but the Mustang has more character and probably every bit as much power. Sebrings have always been gutless cars driven by women and old people. And yes, I have sat in a Mustang coupe's backseat. Except for the lack of headroom, I was fine. Retractable hardtops look cool but make the trunk useless and add weight. The Miata lasted over 15 years without many people complaining about it not having a retractable top. Except for the added sound insulation, they seem like a stupid gimmick to me.

"Sebrings have always been gutless cars driven by women and old people"

And (stock) V6 Mustangs haven't?

#24, Still looks girly after all these years, impractical, and too damn small.

Were your legs amputated above the knee?

I bet the beaded hood is for strength.

#27, No. I sat in a GT coupe and didn't have any real legroom problems. I'm 5'10", not exactly a midget.

#17, It didn't even have enough power for you and you aren't power mad!

#29, I have a friend that's something like 5' 2" and she barely had enough room when sitting in the back. On the other hand I'm 6' 4" and I fit in the front alright. :v

So, my impression of Sebring convertibles was apparently wildly out of date... I remember the Sebring convertibles from the '90s... apparently, the new Sebring convertible is harsher, more cramped, worse built, and worse engineered than the Sebring convertible from 12 years ago.

I find it funny that these cost about $35k new and will be worth less than half in four years.

I see so many of these with the tops stuck in "not-quite closed" position. That, and rust above the wheelwells and all along the bottom of the trunk.

#35, yup. Avengers, Sebrings, Mazda 3s, even the earliest last gen Focuses are getting hit pretty hard. Oddly enough, the Cobalts, G5s and such are faring okay.

I, personally, was astounded at how fast the Spinters went to junk... I saw some starting to bubble up in rust in as little as 2 years.

#37, Yeah dude same here. It's crazy. Almost all the ones I see are rusty to the point of no return.

#37, The county Sheriff's Office apparently bought one Sprinter to use as an inmate transportation van in the mid-2000s... rust started appearing so quickly, they never bought another one, and the one they had didn't last long.

Aside from the Sprinter, for the past 10-15 years, it's been only Fords... Econolines, and now Transits... the fact Ford now has factory-built prisoner transport vans makes them only more appealing for that use. Though, some of the drivers complain they don't have as much room in the driver's compartment as the Econoline.

#39, What do the passengers have to say about back seat comfort? Do they have enough leg room and lumbar support?
