I would be afraid to get out of my car if it was parked at one of those near the edge. |

#6, It's scary. Two of my other favorite Chicago parking garages:
Adjacent to Water Tower Place (huge downtown shopping mall w/ condos and also home to Oprah, itself adjacent to the old stone watertower [last standing building after the great fire] it's named for) there is a garage that you have to drive up a four or five story tall spiral ramp and then across a bridge into the Hancock tower (http://iphcip1.physik.uni-mainz.de/...cs/hancock2.jpg ) where there are several more stories inside the building.
The other is Grant Park North Garage which is under the city's main downtown park, similar to central park in NYC. As I said, it's under the park... all of it, and it's fucking huge and all black brick and really can't be described if you've never seen it.

#10, odd my dad worked for liberty as lawyer. Not as an actual employee though.
He said stay away from big companies like allstate, geico, etc. They have enough money so they don't need to give a fuck. I am sure he is smart enough to not bad mouth a company that probably gave him over a million over the years. |

My family has been using Allstate for quite some time and we've never really had a problem. After my first accident our rates hardly went up at all because of our clean driving record. In my first year of driving I had two accidents and recieved four tickets (of which one was speeding the other a seatbelt violation). And after my brother totalled my truck he didn't get a ticket because both he and the other driver were at fault. I've been driving for over 4 years now and haven't gotten into any trouble for quite a while not to mention the fact that 2 out of 3 of our cars are on PLPD insurance. So we don't have any reason to mistrust our insurer.
