Description:
The Brutus.

1908 chain driven race car chassis mated to a 46l BMW V12 aircraft engine.

It was built by a german museum that had an original, engineless chassis lying around, and this mighty engine. They decided to build the Brutus, to demonstrate the crazy racing in the period between WW1 and WW2, when aircraft engines were often used to power race cars.

The men these days don't have any balls, so the top speed is unknown. It will do 60mph at 800rpm, though. If you think this is anachronistic or unplausible, look up Napier Railton at Wiki.

Seems it's rated at 750hp.

I was just at said German museum (Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim) yesterday and I saw this baby in person. It's HUGE.

And yes, I got pics.

If a car can have a nemesis, this must be Blast-o-lene's.

After doing some research, it seems the project is pretty similar to the Babs, am actual land speed record car. Babs also used an old chain-driven chassis, from a Blitzen Benz. It ended badly.

#11, "Land speed record" and "chain drive" are just phrases that seem to indicate there will be no good ending when put together
