I saw this from a clip I downloaded......this thing raced this older corvette. The corvette got it off the start but sadly crashed. |

I have that clip! it was a yellow old vette. Kinda wanted the viper to crash so i could add it to my all ready long list of wrecked vipers on my profile... |

Try one in the Grand Turismo series. YUCK. Spinouts galore. |

Somehow, my biggest concern about a performance car is not how a simulated version of it performs on a Playstation game. |

So, because the Viper can't handle as well as a 911 or a Corvette, it's not a handling machine? Hmm....oh yeah, and the one in the Gran Turismo series was excellent, if you learn how to countersteer it. So there! |

It is just a beautiful car. I would gladly trade my ex-wife in for it(when I was married). I think this would have given me a better orgasm. |

It would be a handling machine even if it couldn't handle as well as a Vette if it could out-handle, say.... my '65 Tempest. Little nose-heavy fuckers can't get around turns for shit. |

A Viper may not out-turn a 'Vette, but if it got on the Vette's back bumper it could push it straight into a wall.
Remember, it's drivers who win races, not cars. |

I still think they're over-priced. And when I build my engine I intend to prove that point to every one of them I find. |

I really don't know where the import crowds "Domestics can't handle" argument comes from, once you get familiar w/ a car, and maybe do some light mods, You can make it handle pretty well, my car is like your Tempist Indian, Big engine in front makes it want to bottom out, and understeer around turns, but once you learn it's ways, it'll go where you want to put it, no car in the world will turn a ricer driver into MIchael Schumacher, and even the "poor handling" cars can be driven well in time and patience |

Even if I never learn to drive like Andretti, I don't worry about the imports. Handling is a moot point when you're starin' at somebody's taillights and my car can do that to most of the imports around here stock. |

yeah once u learn to drive ur car just under the point of being out of control u can make it handle pretty good, but still not as good as imports that have an equally skilled driver |

But when I come out of the turn and run the straights 40mph faster, the imports kinda lose any edge they had. |

well yeah as long as u have long enough straights, around here there are some roads where there longest straight is maybe 4 car lenghts, but i'm still like u going around curves is fun but the straight line is where its all about for me |

Besides, if you've got the hp and the skill, you can fishtail through the twisties as fast as the imports drive through them. |
