Yeah this guy had a reserve of 4500 on this car! I tried hard not to laugh in his face when he told me. It is nice and all but it really isnt worth that much. But you guys really think he'll let me have for 2K or so?

$2k should do it. Be sure to point out the rust, crappy paint, and the fact that for all you know, it could have had 8k miles since the last oil change.

Sand it down and repaint it.
Or at least throw that running gear into something else. A powerful 350 and a Muncie 4 gear by themselves are worth $1300.

Rust and paint are the big deal-killers, and if that spray paint looks fresh, he's obviously trying to hide the rust, if he won't back down under 2K, walk away from it

I think that's what it's called. In the showroom they have a '66 GT-350H, a '32 Ford Roadster, and a '67 Porsche. Out front is a be-oo-ti-ful '70 Challenger R/T Convertible that I've got my eye on, among other kickass cars.

Why are you hating on my new toy jurrell? :(
Yeah the exterior is not great, but it's fast and most hunks of metal that come from Japan wont be able to touch it.

I'm not hating on it, I like the 72 FireBird more, but that one can be a real looker with some work. Ricers are a 10 year fad, the'll be gone sometime.

I'd check two very specific places, check both the drivers and passengers side floor pans by the firewall, this is the spot where EVERY F-body from that era tends to rust out. Also, check the rear fenderwells where they mate w/ the trunk. If you don't see holes in either place, the car is definately worth it

Oh btw guys alot of this rust probably isnt from standing water or sittin out in the rain or anything, but it could also be from the fact that this guys house is about 100 yards from the ocean

I think mine was parked on a hillside for a few years, the drivers side is in terrific shape, the passenger's side is full of holes

That's nothing, I saw a viper parked next to a cop car in front of a Dunkin Donuts at 3 in the morning one time.
