#18, i dont think said a car handled like shit when i havent handled it. especially not bashing to the extent 37 did. i have plenty of opinions on how many cars look, i have seen them. therefore i can make a valid, although subjective, opinion.

#25, performance cars that use motors from more humble beginnings was being talked about. the viper has a truck motor in the same way that the mr2 has a corolla motor. and the viper is as much of a truck as the mr2 is a corolla. which is minimally.
so why were you upset?

#28, it was nothing personal. the mr2 just happened to be a great example of my point. just because the motor may be derived from something else, doesnt make that car something else.

As I pointed out to thirtyseven on a few occasions, it wasn't the fact that he didn't like the Viper that annoyed me....we all have our own preferences.
What DID bother me, however, was how vehemently he hated the car based on the fact that he read somewhere that the handling offered more grip than poise.

The moral of the story, kids, is that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. You shouldn't hate a 500 hp solid axle FR monster for not handling like a Mercedes...or hate it simply because someone else didn't think it handled like a Mercedes.
