Ford fucks up again.
This thing doesn't look good from any angle.

From keeping up with Autoblog and the like, most of the styling is not really a surprise to me. However, I was not expecting the styling changes they did with the rear fender, and I quite like what they've done there.

#1, You don't have to feel obligated to hate everything, but your opinion is yours

Personally I like it, I really do. They took everything that was bland about the front fascia and spiced it up. The butt is a little bulbous but that's hardly a complaint. I also like the ballsier drivetrain and suspension.

#5, I don't hate everything. I happen to really like the current Mustang, including the GT500 which many of you guys don't like. From a styling standpoint, I just don't like what was done to the 2010 model.

I've always been something of a Mustang fanboy, hence my username, but this is one I cannot love :(

"This is a fantastic engine, proven on the race track, the drag strip and on the highway."

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I notice they haven't brought up the weight. Anyone care to take on my bet that it's increased by about 200 pounds?

#7, It just seemed to me that your commentary on alot of the recently posted cars has been espescially negative, but maybe I'm reading too much into it.

But one thing I don't like is how they didn't change the slab sided look, I mean they redo the front and rear but couldn't modernize the lines along the doors and fenders a little bit?

I'm also not crazy about how Ford keeps stuffing anemic V6's into these things, they've got a 4.0L in there that makes 210 horsepower; that's 40 less than the 3.5L used on Chrysler's LX platforms and about 90 less than the 3.6L in the new Camaro RS. I don't know if Fords trying to market to an older demographic not so much interested in power as the considerable retro appeal but people who can't afford the GT model shouldn't have to compromise that much.

#11, I've had a stance for at least the last two years of disliking roughly 95% of the new cars built every year. I don't hate everything but I'm very picky about what I do like.

That said, I hope they sell a ton of these because whether or not I like the styling, Ford needs all the money they can get and I really don't want to see them, or any of the Big 3, go under.

#12, I think, personally, that the big 3 are making alot better moves these days in terms of style, performance, and economy. Too bad it's about 5 years too late. And honestly, despite Obama's best efforts, I think too many republicans in Washington are too concerned with tax hikes in relation to the bailout to throw the big 3 a bone. Either way, Michigan workers are getting fucked up the ass.

I love the front end, at an angle. Reminds me of the 70 model w/ a thinner front scoop. Not dead on like the pic in this thread. The rear is questionable.
I would buy it if the interior improves.

I wonder what's going to happen to kitt??

#13, Who wants to bet the auto unions will refuse a pay/benefits cut, then strike, and ultimately do even worse damage to themselves by bankrupting their employers completely and losing all their jobs?

God damn, I am too negative. And I'm not even Polish!
*slaps self*

One guy mentioned a Chinese auto company could afford to buy a majority of GM stock.

I checked his facts and it got me thinking. If that were to happen, I'd figure we could have done more like actually supported them. It will be too late then.

#17, Toyota could have easily bought a majority shareholding in GM with their 2006-2007 net profits.

I couldn't imagine an Asian auto manufacturer owning a majority share of any automotive company, not because I'd be opposed to it, it's just that the whole idea is so bizarre. Even if/when the new owners were able to make year-end profits w/o slashing overhead or even increase market share I'm sure the legions of overzealous domestic brand loyalists would have blood shooting from their eyes.
