I'm reading about the "K" right now. That's some weird stuff--he's using a modified 4cyl engine, the car's still FWD, but has been lightened and most of the weight has been moved to the front (including fuel cell), and he's got somewhere around 30 lb of boost going through it, plus nitrous.. |

FWD, I think. Most of the Dodge/Plymouth turbos were. Which makes it even more hilarious that they're getting enough traction out of 'em to put them in the mid 10's. |

I must say running 10s of anysort in a FWD car is a good effort. My mates FWD turbo we think runs 14s and thats spining most of 1st and 2nd gears and then sometimes a bit of 3rd. |

Yeah, they're FWD, by the mid 80's, plymouth only had 1 car that was RWD, the Fury/Dodge Diplomat/Crysler 5th Avenue, and it was basicaly an old folks/fleet services car, hung around untill 1989/90 when it was phased out |

We have an old 5th avenue we rescued from certain death from a clueless owner, he had a major oil leak and told us that "it's making this chattering noise" it's lucky the engine didn't explode! |

Does Dodge/Chrysler even make a single RWD car right now, besides the Viper? Trucks don't count. |

this shop where i live has an omni thats been converted to RWD, has a front clip from some other car so they would have room for a 440 with a 6-71 blower and a NOS's 550 shot, and it still street legal

Yes Yes YES! I love it. It's probably street legal, but I'd hate to see the nut that would drive it. The thing probably wheelies like crazy. |

You need to get a pic of that thing Stang! I wanna see it! My local shop has a few scarry cars outside, a 3rd gen Camaro w/ a HUGE hood cowl, a GMC Syclone (Vanity Tag too : "SYCOTIC" and a chopped up Tractor that I assume is being turned into a pulling tractor, they're doing some kind of frame work on it for sure |

Your laws for street legalness are pretty far out. We cant even put an engine that big in a little car, if you have NOS connected and get caught then good luck getting your car back by the end of the week. And then forced induction that makes it even harder to get things street legal. |

#31 no, but the want to bring RWD back for their large-size LS-series cars I've heard, and the new 5.7 HEMI is on the way too |

#35 all my state cares about is
-No rust holes?
-All the lights work?
-Tires don't stick out beyond the fenders?
-Seatbelts
-Registered and Insured?
-No blower sticking out the bonnet? (covered cowl is OK)
If the answer was "yes" to all, you're good to go |

#36, Good. I'm tired of seeing FWD car after FWD car. I mean, one of my main criteria last time I bought a new car was whether it was RWD. D'you realize how many restrictions that places on your options these days? Especially since we no longer have F-bodies..... |

Well, you won't be buying from GM that's for sure, they don't know how bad they screwed up when they killed the Caprice/Roadmaster Chassis |
