I hate the new Viper. The old one was completely individual and never got mistaken for anything; the new one just looks like a BMW with a funny grille.

The only really recognizable Viper element I see in that pic is the headlights and the crosshair grille/chin-spoiler.
You know why they ditched the clamshell hood? It was too expensive. Hello?! It's a $75,000 car; you think anyone who buys it cares about cutting costs?

Cutting costs is the last thing they should worry about on the Viper when it, the Prowler and those stupid Neon R/Ts and PT Cruisers are rakin' in all that cash.

this car is such a sell-out it's rediculous. The only thing I liked about the Viper (except the power) was the fact that it stood out, was distinct. Now it just sucks.

They got rid of the clamshell hood because of its weight for the main reason, and i think this is a weee bit more power full than a Corvette.

"The New Dodge" can kiss my old ass. If this is what we've got to look forward to (this and the PT Snoozer), I say we bomb the factory now and enjoy the past.

#13, i think someone on here said they also got rid of it to keep cost down as if thats a big deal with a viper

It's sort of lost its identity. Now it just looks like a cross between a Miata and a Vette.
