Oh well the one that is here is a charger 500. And then I must have seen a real charger daytona. (thats if there is a difference) |

I remember it had been said on here once before that the wing on the Superbird was actually connected very strongly to the structure of the car, perhaps even into the frame or something. Is the same true for the Charger Daytonas? |

Well whatever it is there is one for sale here, it looks like this, and its VERY expencive. #15 thanks, I didnt edit it for that very reason. Laugh at the aussie. |

There WAS a Charger 500, it was a standard race Charger that engineers fiddle with by filling in several areas of the body, notably the rear window areas and front grille, but it had no wing, the Charger Daytona (wing version) was a further aero refinement of the Charger 500, those humps above the wheels in front are actualy vents that keep air pressure from building up inside the wheels at race speeds, thus preventing suspention travel, kinda insane huh? fewer than 2000 examples of both the SUperbird and Daytona were produced, and they were made for one year only, the Daytona in 69' the Superbird in 70'
